Trees of Mill Road Cemetery, Cambridge
Mill Road Cemetery was opened in 1848 to meet the burial needs of the city centre churches. The cemetery was full by 1949, and the chapel of rest that used to occupy the centre oval was demolished shortly afterwards. The huge variety of trees includes some fine pines, including a Maritime Pine [Mar], several large Beech trees [Be] and Copper Beeches [CB] as well as more traditional cemetery trees, such as a row of Irish Yew [IY].
