Chamaerops humilis — Dwarf Fan Palm
An 18th century Mediterranean introduction, confined to mild areas.
The tree is like a smaller, bushier version of the Chusan Palm, with smaller leaves with distinctively-spined stalks. Erect yellow flowerheads are produced in spring.
