Prunus x schmittii — Schmitt's Cherry
An early 20th century hybrid, common as a street tree.
A hefty, fastigiate tree with bark like a poor imitation of that of Tibetan Cherry. The alternate leaves are large and coarsely toothed. The flowers are small and pink and somewhat hidden by the emergent foliage.
