Populus tremula — Aspen
A native tree forming large suckering stands.
Usually a slender tree, with creamy-grey bark pitted with black diamonds in horizontal rows. The alternate leaves are always rounded with wavy teeth and flutter in the slightest breeze due to the long, flattened petioles. Buds are sharp to the touch.
