Acer davidii — Pere David's Maple
A somewhat variable snake-bark maple, introduced from China early in the last century.
The leaves are relatively large and with very little side-lobing. The buds are characteristically stalked.
‘Ernest Wilson’ is a rare cultivar with folded, V cross-section leaves.
