Photo Archive: Zushidian temple near the ancient Tujia citadel

A distant view of the zushidian temple close to the ancient Tujia citadel laosicheng. The temple was first built in the 10th century and has a wooden roof dating from the Ming Dynasty. The roof shows a distinctive feature of Tujia architecture: the complex insertion of multiple beams into a single pillar at the same height. See the next photo for a close-up view.
