Photo Archive: Kujia at a family wedding

This is a rare photo of an authentic kujia wedding. The bride and her companions sing laments and weep in a stylised form, sometimes for several evenings before her wedding. The practice has become increasingly rare. There is extensive kujia material in the language archive.
